Believe me my young friend, there is nothing – absolutely nothing – half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats.
~ The Wind and the Willows
In early 2018, I purchased a 16′ Hog Island skiff. I will likely begin guiding out of it in late spring or early summer of 2019. This opens a lot of new water as well as different species of fish. I’ve been addicted to sight fishing for carp on mud flats for quite some time. I can’t wait to share that experience with you!
The boat also provides more opportunities for bass and stripers. And when the Clinch is too high to wade, we can strip streamers for some of its behemoth trout.
So, I am still dotting a few i’s and crossing a few t’s. But the boat (and I) should be ready to go for guide trips by late spring or early summer 2019. And this page will up and going sooner with all of the details you need.
